Creating a Treasure Journal From Mail Packaging

LOCATION: Symposium Classroom

In this hands-on workshop, you will transform mail packaging into a treasure journal ready to fill with all your treasured memories, thought and possibilities. All materials are provided, just bring your curiosity, creativity and an apron. During this mixed media session we will play with pen and ink, acrylic paint, stencils, inks and stamps, and basic collage. You will learn how to hand sew a basic journal binding and explore possibilities for continued embellishment of your Treasure Journal.

Supplies:

Your class fee includes everything you need to get started: kraft-style mail packaging, journal binding tools, and a basic journal embellishment kit to spark your creativity. Participants will also have access to shared community supplies such as acrylic paints, stencils, ink pads, and stamps to personalize their journals.

Joni Paolucci is an artist and Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT) dedicated to creating welcoming spaces where anyone can connect with their inner creator. With a background as a healthcare professional, she now focuses on sharing the joy of art in retirement. Her workshops guide others in self-discovery through Art Journaling and using the easy-to-follow Zentangle Method, both which promotes mindfulness, relaxation, and personal wellness. Passionate about helping others find peace and confidence through creativity, she believes art is for everyone. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring new places and traveling.
